This project was required to meet the 75% maximum per day demand criteria for system-wide reliability. It included land acquisition, design and construction of two wells that may produce a total of up to 12 MGD at the City of Pleasanton/Prudential and DSRSD/Army sites in Pleasanton. One well was constructed on the Camp Parks property managed by the Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD). The other well was constructed on the City of Pleasanton property formerly owned by Prudential Insurance Company. Zone 7 reached agreements with DSRSD and the City of Pleasanton to construct the wells on their property. Accomplishments include the preparation and adoption of the project’s Negative Declaration, plans and specifications, and bid advertisements for drilling and facility construction and directing construction management.
